Timothy Taylor’s owned The Devonshire, Grassington will welcome a new management team from 15th January 2018. This follows the mutual decision by Timothy Taylor’s and Pickles Pubs Ltd not to renew their tenancy agreement following an initially agreed two-year period.
Timothy Taylor’s acquired The Devonshire, which sits in the heart of the picturesque village of Grassington in the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park, in summer 2015. After an extensive refurbishment programme it opened for business in December 2015. Many locals and tourists have enjoyed the cosy bar, full range of Timothy Taylor’s championship cask ales on hand pull, locally sourced food and eight stunning letting rooms.
The Devonshire continues to be a key part of the local Grassington community and Timothy Taylor’s will further build on the existing business created by Pickles Pubs.
Pickles Pubs is a Yorkshire based estate of six community based pubs led by Managing Director Neil Pickles who said “After two years of operating out of Grassington, it has become clear that Pickles Pubs’ focus needs to remain on its core estate in the Aire Valley. It’s been a pleasure working with Timothy Taylors during this period”
Timothy Taylor’s is planning further investment at The Devonshire during 2018, as well the introduction of their new Taylor Made small-batch beer range. The new management team are looking forward to a busy and successful year ahead and are particularly excited about key events in the calendar such as the Tour de Yorkshire and Grassington Festival.
